Since 1917, Illa de Riu has been a family-run agricultural company, now managed by the 4th generation of the Trías del Romero family, dedicated to the production and commercialization of high-quality rice under the Illa de Riu brand.
All of their rice is grown on the “Illa de Riu” estate, located in the Ebro Delta, in
harmony with the biodiversity of its Natural Park. They carefully select and multiply their own seeds to ensure the uniformity of each variety. No blends. The company is committed to sustainable farming, cultivating rice according to natural cycles and using traditional techniques that ensure superior quality. The rice fields are located in the Ebro Delta Natural Park, a protected area within the Terres de l’Ebre Biosphere Reserve.
